Mariana SotoDirector/OwnerA dedicated dancer, who has strived to improve at every opportunity. She is known as much for her totally infectious personality as she is for her outstanding abilities as a dancer, instructor, choreographer and performer. She possesses a truly unique blend of style, flavor, technique and sheer charisma on both the dance floor and on stage. There is a depth of feeling behind her movements that can be easily seen in the joy that shines through her as she dances.
Mariana started taking classes from the early age of 6 years old. She dedicated her time to learning every dance style she could, finding satisfaction in each. She has danced professionally in Latin, Brazilian Samba,Ballroom, Jazz, Folkorico, Bollywood, Belly dance and much more. She supplemented her training by attending dance programs, workshops, and competitions. Mariana had the opportunity to appear in multiple main stage productions, performing for Sergio Mendez, Will Smith, Van Halen, Janelle Monae, Vivica Fox, Jamie Fox, Eva Longoria, Carlinhos Brown, Madonna, International Ambassadors and much more. Mariana's desire to succeed in dance has taken her across North America traveling to Miami, Texas, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico , Chicago & China. Mariana is also certified Dance Instructor and Trainer who has been teaching for 8 years to a wide range of individuals. Her vision is the intense desire to bring joy and beauty, through dance, and her passion quickly reached a high professional level to become owner of Heart of Samba Entertainment. She is inspired by the passion behind the movement in each piece she teaches endeavoring to connect with audience members. She wants to create a company with dancers of all backgrounds to come together and support and share their love of dance with others. Mariana has witnessed tremendous growth and maturity within this dance company, seeing immense possibilities in Heart of Samba's future.
